PolarSports Elite 08 Camp and Team

PolarSports is a company founded by former and current Asian prep and NCAA athletes dedicated to helping Asian players compete in high levels. We organized the first all-Asian summer tournament team last year and competed in the Mini Chowder Cup. This year we are organizing a 2008 team in the Elite Bracket of the Junior Chowder Cup. The team will be made up of some of the best 2008 born Asian hockey players. The team will train for eight days at Salem Icenter with Real Speed Sports. During the training period, prep school and NCAA coaches will be in attendance connecting with our players and coaching them on the ice. The team will be invitation and application based. Those interested in joining the team can contact our staff through email.

Camp Highlights

  • High level and high intensity training with experienced coaching staff to help the players develop their hockey and strength

  • A group of experienced coaching staff with extensive prep, NCAA, and professional hockey experience

  • By competing in Elite Bracket of the Junior Chowder Cup, the players can maximize their exposure to coaches and scouts

  • A combination of on-ice skills, off-ice strength and conditioning, and team tactic training will prepare our players to higher levels of competition

  • The camp will invite Asian NCAA and professional as guest coaches and speakers to help inspire our players to compete in college and professional hockey

  • Guest coaches from prep schools and NCAA teams will guide our players through trainings and lecture the team on the combination of education and hockey these programs provides

Target Players

  • 2008 Born Players who competed in U14 AAA programs in the United States, U15 AAA programs in Canada, or equivalent

  • Junior boarding school varsity players or prep school varsity players

  • The team is targeting 12 Forwards, 7 defensemen, and 2 goalies.

Fee and Included Services:

  • Total Fee: $3000 not including boarding 

  • 25 hours of on-ice training (Skills, skating, and systems)

  • 8 hours of hockey oriented off ice training

  • 12 hours of goalie coaching

  • Designated team locker room

  • Two full scrimmage games with other Chowder Cup Elite Bracket teams before the tournament

  • Chowder Cup registration fee (3 games guaranteed)

  • 2 meals included per day

  • NCAA and prep guest coaching and lectures

  • Prep school and college visits

  • Airport pick-up and drop-offs can be arranged if requested

  • Two 15 seat Ford Transit vans will be provided for the team

  • Camp Dates: July 19th-26th (Players to arrive at Salem Icenter prior to noon on July 19th for registration)

  • Tournament Dates: July 27th-30th (Three games guaranteed with additional playoff games
